Lamb Behavioral Health Center, LLC opened in 2013 to provide behavioral health services to children and families in the Brazos Valley. Dr. Gordon D. Lamb, licensed psychologist, oversees all clinical services.

Dr. Gordon D. Lamb, Ph.D.
Dr. Lamb received his Ph.D. in School/Clinical Child Psychology from Texas A&M University (TAMU). Dr. Lamb’s prior experiences give him a unique perspective with his patients. He started as direct care staff in a group home for teenagers with autism and then a child psychiatric hospital. He later worked as a case manager securing services for individuals with disabilities, including advocating for students with disabilities in the schools. After completing his Ph.D., he worked for two years as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) and then as an assistant professor at Sam Houston State University (SHSU), teaching courses in therapy and assessment. After leaving the university to practice full time, he has continued to supervise practicum students from SHSU and TAMU. He has also supervised many recent graduates as they pursue licensure as a psychologist.
In terms of therapy, Dr. Lamb primarily utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, while drawing from more modern advances such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). With roots in child therapy, he also enjoys working with children and parents utilizing Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
Dr. Lamb enjoys spending time with his wife and five children. He is active in his church congregation and volunteers as time permits. For hobbies, he enjoys basketball, cooking out, and other outdoor activities. For entertainment, he enjoys escaping reality in the realms of fantasy fiction, science fiction, and anime.

Dr. Nayda Lamberty, Psy.D.
Dr. Lamberty received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Ponce Health Sciences University at Ponce, Puerto Rico. Her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Roberto Clemente Family Guidance Center in Manhattan, New York, trained her in the systemic-ecological approach, where she specialized in families and couples, minorities, trauma, migration issues, and aspects of primary care. She has experience with diverse populations and modalities (i.e., families, couples, groups, adults, adolescents, and children).
Her experience has helped Dr. Lamberty understand the particular needs of each population. She received her Professional Certificate in Family and Couples Therapy in Puerto Rico. She spent most of her academic career obtaining experience related to family therapy, couples dynamics, and trauma. Dr. Lamberty also completed her training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 1 and 2 and Brainspotting Phase 1 and 2.
Dr. Lamberty’s hobbies include playing with her dogs, spending time with her family, watching movies, drawing, and reading.

Dr. Michael Gotowka, Psy.D.
Dr. Gotowka (guh TUFF kuh) is a Licensed Psychologist with Provisional Status being supervised by Dr. Lamb. He received his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Alliant International University-San Francisco Bay (formerly California School of Professional Psychology). He also holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Holy Names University. Dr. Gotowka has experience working with a variety of populations including children, families, adults, and couples; as well as many different settings including schools, community counseling centers, juvenile detention centers, and an agency for survivors of domestic violence. He has helped people with a multitude of diagnoses as well. He enjoys supporting families with the IEP process by advocating for students to obtain the services they need.
Dr. Gotowka has specific training to assist couples. He completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level I, and his dissertation investigated how first-time parents manage their relationships.
Before studying psychology, Dr. Gotowka was a trained chef. He is crazy about his dog Thor, football, video games, and rock music. Although he has lived all over the United States, Dr. Gotowka enjoys his home in Texas!
Dr. Michale Sferra, Ph.D.
Dr. Sferra (SFAIR-uh) is a Licensed Psychologist and a secondary supervisor at LBHC. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on working with children and families from the APA-accredited program at Texas A&M University (TAMU). He completed his predoctoral internship at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical Center, where he completed the child clinical psychology track. Dr. Sferra also has experience as an instructor in the psychology department at TAMU.
Dr. Sferra has a passion for working with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and their families. He focuses on behavioral models of therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). He also frequently incorporates aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). For children and their families, Dr. Sferra has experience treating behavioral problems, school-related problems, and issues in the parent-child relationship. For emerging adults, Dr. Sferra has experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, academic problems, and those desiring to change their behaviors to improve overall life satisfaction.
In his free time, Dr. Sferra enjoys being with family, going on hikes or kayaking, cooking delicious meals, and taking it easy with movies or video games.

Dr. Betsmarie Jimenez, Psy.D.
Dr. Jimenez is a Licensed Psychologist with Provisional Status being supervised by Dr. Lamb. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited program at Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She completed her internship at the PHSU Wellness Center and in Damas Hospital, focusing on health psychology and neuropsychology. She has experience with various theoretical models including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. Additionally, Dr. Jimenez received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) working with patients with borderline personality disorder.
Dr. Jimenez has provided psychological support to patients with chronic health conditions, supporting their family and medical team to promote the patient’s quality of life. Skills with crisis management have allowed her to serve people with a history of trauma. She also treats individuals with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, autism, and self-harm behavior. She has worked with diverse populations and modalities (i.e., families, adults, adolescents, and children).
Her favorite hobbies are spending time with family and friends, playing with her pets, exercising, and watching movies. She loves the beach, dancing salsa, and traveling.
